AS/400e servers 720, 730, and 740 can be configured to meet your performance requirements. Whether you’re running mostly back-office applications, newer e-business applications, or a mix of both, you can customize the performance of the new 7XX servers to match your business workload. Each model includes a base processor and interactive performance feature. Optional processor and interactive performance features can balance the server’s performance.

Increase performance on installed 7XX servers simply and with little disruption. You can upgrade to AS/400e servers 720, 730, and 740 from most installed AS/400e RISC models, including systems, servers, and custom mixed-mode servers. Most of the features used on the installed models can also be used on the 7XX servers. Some new features add even more value to the new models.
